Entune - Frequently Asked Questions

What phones are compatible with Entune? Entune will work with most Androids and iPhones. On how to pair your phone via Bluetooth and a complete list of compatible phones for the Entune® App Suite, please visit http://www.toyota.com/connect/
   
How many phone contacts can I store in my audio head unit? The total number of contacts is a maximum of 2,500 with a maximum of four phone numbers per contact

Does the Voice Recognition system on Entune recognize different languages? The system can recognize English, Spanish and French once the language is changed in the system's setting. For drivers with accents in their speech, the Entune system can now recognize different tonality, inflection points and accents. You can learn more through the use of the voice recognition training feature within the head unit.

Do I need to register for Entune to use it? Only vehicles with the Entune Premium Audio System with Navigation and App Suite and Entune Premium JBL Audio system with Navigation and App Suite require you to register as they contain the "Entune® App Suite" which requires registration. Search for 'Entune' in your respective app store (Apple or Android) to download the Entune App. With the Entune App, you can register and link your 3rd party apps (Pandora, Movietickets.com, OpenTable, and Facebook Places), all via your mobile handset.
   
How much does the Entune® App Suite cost? Originally launched in 2011 with a three year complimentary subscription trial, the Entune® App Suite is now completely subscription free. *Select Entune® App Suite apps use a large amount of data and you are responsible for all data charges. Apps and services vary by phone and carrier; not all services available all the time and in all locations, and are subject to change.
   
Do all Entune systems come with the App Suite? No. The Entune® App Suite is only available on the Entune Premium Audio System with Navigation and App Suite and Entune Premium JBL Audio system with Navigation and App Suite.
  
What kind of apps are in the Entune® App Suite? The Entune® App Suite features a total of seven apps, with two brand new ones. They are, BING, iHeartRadio, Movietickets.com, Opentable, Pandora and new for Entune® App Suite on selected 2014 model year vehicles, Facebook Places and Yelp. In addition, HD predictive traffic and weather with advanced Doppler, stocks, sports and fuel guide data services are included on selected vehicles.
   
Can I add other apps to the Entune® App Suite? No. The ability to add applications to the Entune® App Suite is not possible. We are continuously listening to customers' feedback & comments and analyzing what apps are valuable to customers that might be included in future Entune® App Suite updates.
  
Is a USB cable connection needed to use Entune® App Suite? Originally, Entune® App Suite required a cable connection on selected head units. On select 2014 model year vehicles, the Entune® App Suite can be launched and used via the phone's Bluetooth connection and a USB cable connection is not needed. To charge your Android mobile device while using the Entune® App Suite, you may use the 12v charger or USB port. For Apple products, using the USB port to charge will prevent the Entune® App Suite from working; only the 12v charger will work on Apple products.
