Mark Jacobson Toyota has reviewed the Avalon so our customers can decide if it’s right for them!

Toyota Avalon Performance

Toyota AvalonA highlight of the Toyota Avalon is its ability to offer more power than many other sedans. This is thanks to a powerful 2-engine lineup. The first one is a 3.5L V6 gas engine that produces 301 horsepower and 267 lb-ft of torque, and is paired with Eco, Sport, and Normal drive modes. The gas version of the Avalon features an 8-speed automatic transmission with intelligence and Sequential Shiftmatic™ Mode.

The other engine is a 2.5L Dynamic Force 4-cylinder hybrid engine that produces 176 horsepower and 163 lb-ft of torque, which also includes Eco, Normal, Sport, and EV drive modes. The hybrid Avalon models are paired with an Electronically controlled Continuously Variable Transmission with Sequential Shiftmatic™ Mode.

With two powerful engines, you might get a rush out of hearing them roar. To enhance that sound, the Avalon Touring trim features an Engine Sound Enhancement feature that, through the sound system, pumps the sound through the vehicle.
