What Makes a Toyota Certified Pre-Owned?
Not every used Toyota qualifies for Certified Pre-Owned status. Vehicles must meet Toyota's age and mileage requirements, then pass a multi-point inspection covering mechanical, safety, and cosmetic condition before they can carry the Certified Pre-Owned badge. Vehicles that don't meet the standard are sold as standard used inventory instead.
