Rumors and speculations surrounding a model redesign are floated long before the model release itself. In reality, no one knows for sure until the official introduction of the new vehicle, but that doesn't stop people from trying to be the first to know what will be included. Here's what we've been able to gather on what you should know about the 2021 Toyota Tundra. more Powertrain Wishes There are several opinions on what engines will be included with the 2021 Tundra. Some hope the 5.7-liter V-8 engine, which delivers 381 horsepower and 401 pound-feet of torque and has a decade of proven performance, will stick around as one option. Others envision a 5.0-liter or 6.0-liter would be a better path to follow. Hybrid options are popular, with a 3.5-liter twin-turbocharged hybrid engine on many wish lists, but there has been no confirmation if one will be included or not. Finally, a Tundra diesel option has been floated around for the past decade. Regardless of what the reality is, many truck buyers would love to see an engine delivering in excess of 400 horsepower, even reaching 450 horsepower, along with a significant increase of torque for towing. Current engines pair with a six-speed automatic transmission, and the hope is that an eight-speed or 10-speed automatic transmission will be included with the 2021 model, perhaps even a manual transmission option. Towing Capabilities Wishes The 2019 Tundra's tow capacity ranges from the minimum of 6,400 pounds to the maximum of 10,200 pounds. Not every truck is used to haul or tow items of extreme weight, so a high maximum rating is not needed for every trim. Many truck enthusiasts do have their sights set on a tow rating of more than 12,000 pounds for at least one or two trims with the 2021 release. New CrewMax Option With Longer Bed Most buyers would like to see Toyota continue to offer both the Double Cab and CrewMax options with the 2021 Toyota Tundra. One suggested configuration many would like to see added is the CrewMax cab with a larger engine, with 5.5-, 6-, and 6.5-foot bed options included, without losing the seating in the back seat that people choosing the CrewMax have come to rely on. New Tundra Comfort and Convenience There's little question that the 2021 Tundra will include both Android Auto and Apple CarPlay integration, with many hoping for a simple layout of buttons and controls that will be easily accessible by both the driver and front passenger. In addition, most would expect to see a minimum 7-inch touch screen with a larger 11- or 12-inch option available in the higher trims. Long-Term Toyota Quality The one thing everyone is expecting with the 2021 Tundra is Toyota's dependability, reliability, and quality. Most expect to see it return to Kelley Blue Book as the Highest Resale Value award winner. The 2019 Toyota Camry is a high-performance midsize car that offers a lot of features and accessories that earned it high marks with the U.S. News and World Report. Check out some of the features that make the Camry one of the top contenders among its class. more Performance The 2019 Camry offers a couple of different engine options for its different trim levels. The L, LE, and SE trim levels use a 2.5-liter, dual overhead cam, 16-valve, inline four-cylinder engine capable of 203 horsepower and 184 pound-feet of torque. The XSE and XLE trims have a 3.5-liter, dual overhead cam, 24-valve, V-6 engine that generates 301 horsepower with 267 pound-feet of torque. Both engines come with a hybrid option for increased output and added fuel economy. The Camry is a front-wheel-drive vehicle that has an eight-speed automatic transmission that is electronically controlled with a sequential shift mode. The suspension uses an independent MacPherson strut configuration in the front, and a multilink setup in the rear gives it excellent control through tight turns as well as a smooth ride over bumpy roads. As far as gas mileage goes, the Camry rates high in its class and is rated at 22-29 miles per gallon in the city and 32-41 miles on the highway depending on the engine and driving style. Exterior There is a sporty elegance to the Camry's look that comes from an elongated front end and low profile design. The Camry comes in 10 different colors ranging from vibrant reds and blues to matte earth tones. There are a lot of different accessories and accents for the exterior, including LED lights, a sporty grille design, heated mirrors, a power sunroof, High Solar Energy-Absorbing (HSEA) glass, and dual exhaust with chrome tips. Interior The interior of the Camry is quite spacious and passengers will have no problem stretching out their legs or avoid hitting their head on the ceiling. Even the backseat is roomy and can comfortably fit three adult passengers. The seats are leather-trimmed fabric on the lower trims with an upgradable option to full leather on the upper trims. Air conditioning comes standard on the Camry and can be upgraded to dual-zone climate control for the front driver and passenger seats. The Camry uses Toyota's Entune infotainment system that features a full-color touch screen that varies between 6 and 8 inches depending on the trim. There are a number of entertainment apps available through the Entune system, such as Apple CarPlay, SiriusXM, Android Auto, and Pandora. There is also navigational software available through SiriusXM Traffic that utilizes GPS to track the car's current location as well as plan trips. Security functions can also be accessed through the infotainment system as well as checking up on the Camry's various systems. With its combination of power, performance, and comfort, the Camry is a great choice for anyone looking for their next midsize car.
